Profile: Hilaria Valdez Reyes

College is challenging in the best of circumstances. Add stressors like housing insecurity and learning a new language and even the most determined student feels like giving up at times. Hilaria Valdez has been there. She faced obstacles that would deter just about anyone. Heroes Study Here

Through a partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network, in place of the typical clinical experience LCCC nursing students are exposed to, our nursing students were given the opportunity to take part in the hospital’s COVID-19 vaccine clinics at its Miner’s and Lehighton facilities.

LCCC Spring Commencement Speakers

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) selects two students—one traditional, one adult learner—to speak at Commencement every year. For Commencement 2021, Rose Reyes and Jamie Knerr were chosen for this honor.
