Mathematics A.S. (MATS)

Attention This is an overview of the program. The course sequencing is meant to serve as a guideline for your semester planning. Please note that the scheduling of courses, program sequencing and curriculum are subject to change.

This program is intended for students with an interest and aptitude in mathematics who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to prepare for a baccalaureate degree in mathematics.

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be able to:

  • demonstrate competence in calculus and analytic geometry.
  • apply mathematics in real world settings throughout the required mathematics courses.
  • apply graphing and numerical tools available on graphing calculators, computers or other technologies
  • interconnect mathematical skills with other subject areas.
