Summary
This position will report directly to the Director of Site Education Services at the Donley Center. The position will concentrate on practical enrollment functions while interacting regularly with the Offices of Admissions, Advising, Business, Financial Aid and Registration/Student Records. The position will serve as a resource and/or guide to assist students through the various steps required to become a fully registered LCCC student. The Enrollment Generalist performs varied general clerical and receptionist duties to maintain the operation of the site office while working closely with students seeking admission into the college, completing placement testing, financial aid paperwork, and enrollment into courses.
Salary is restricted to above range and will not exceed the maximum of the range. Salary offers are non negotiable and offers are determined and are based upon related work experience.
*Employee is responsible for parking costs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Works as a guide for students who have applied for admissions to assist them through the necessary steps to complete the registration process.
Maintain familiarity with all financial aid processes, regulations and activities.
Assist students in the completion of the FAFSA and play an active role during our scheduled FAFSA Completion Nights.
Be well versed in all class registration activities and provide assistance for students in registering in Banner and completing the placement test, Course Planning Form and Orientation.
Maintain regular contact with applicants to maintain enrollment at the assigned LCCC site.
Guide the student through the self-service degree audit process.
Assist with Open Houses, Summer Information Sessions and various other student visit program activities at assigned site.
Be familiar with other campus resources/offices/services in order to properly direct students when further assistance is necessary.
Be knowledgeable of deadlines, regulations and policies that relate to financial aid, costs, tuition payment, testing, orientation and class registration.
Works with students who test into developmental courses by providing guidance in accordance with the student's interests, values and abilities for appropriate course registration.
Refers students to appropriate departmental offices, faculty, and support services for academic, personal, and career counseling; academic skills development; financial aid; and any other area that may appropriately assist the student in achieving his/her academic objectives.
Receives and handles incoming calls and provides information on all areas of credit and non-credit and workforce training.
Performs typing, word processing, filing, forms processing, other clerical functions and office organization.
Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from computer systems.
Accepts tuition and fee payments.
Proctors assessment, makeup, and distance learning tests.
Receives visitors and prospective students and directs to proper classroom/offices.
Reports any equipment and building maintenance/repairs to site supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Education
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Certifications
Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Minimum three years’ experience working directly in fast-paced office setting.
Must have knowledge of MS Office and ability to operate a personal computer and other general office equipment essential.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to interact positively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Must be able to perform in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong secretarial and organizational skills.
Must be flexible in adjusting to a variety of work responsibilities and schedules is necessary.
Preserves confidentiality of materials.
The ability to work with frequent interruptions and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge
Preferred:
Higher education experience preferred.
Bilingual
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted.
