Our Advanced Manufacturing programs prepare students for careers in today’s rapidly evolving technology-based industries. Our approach balances theory and hands-on training in cutting-edge technology, such as robotics and industrial automation. Students will gain the skills needed to work in the next generation of computer-driven, data intensive, industrial automated workplace. These programs are designed in partnership with local employers, ensuring students are learning the techniques and tools that meet workforce needs and will open doors to rewarding career opportunities.

Programs are based upon Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) nationally recognized industry credentials and designed with the incumbent worker in mind.

Level 1

These programs provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to join an advanced manufacturing workplace as a maintenance technician or related field.

Level 2

These programs are designed to expand upon the knowledge and skills students developed in any of our Level 1 programs and build upon their skills to work in a more advanced role in an industrial automation workplace.

Registered Pre-Apprenticeships

Mechatronics 1 Pre-Apprenticeship

The Mechatronics Pre-Apprenticeship program is designed to prepare students with the next generation of skills to work in a computer-driven, data-intensive advanced manufacturing workplace. This is a registered pre-apprenticeship with PA Department of Labor and Industry.
The course combines on-line learning and simulation, self-study, and hands-on demonstration of skills supervised by one of our skilled and experienced instructors. The technical portion of this Pre-Apprenticeship program is based on LCCC’s Industrial Automation Level 1 Certificate program. LCCC is an experienced provider of this training which represents some of the most robust learning opportunities within the Advanced Manufacturing Group.

Course topics include:
• Manufacturing Fundamentals
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Fluid Power Systems
• Computer Systems

Attending the course has these benefits:
• Offers students a robust introduction to Mechatronics theory
• Allows documentation of hands-on electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and computer skills
• Opportunity to earn SACA Mechatronics certifications in Electrical Systems 1 and Mechanical Power Systems 1

Certified Production Technician Plus

The CPT+ program with Skill Boss is designed to prepare employees with the next generation of skills to work in a computer-driven, data-intensive advanced manufacturing workplace.
