The program provides the students with the related technical knowledge necessary to supplement on-the-job training supplied by the sponsoring employer. Experience gained from the program will be in the area of drafting and design, manufacturing processes, and tooling elements.
This an integrated college program spanning three semesters. Students complete classroom instruction alongside clinical experience. A practical nursing graduate is prepared to assist in caring for medical and surgical patients, convalescents, and disabled.
Students will gain an understanding of what paralegals can accomplish, as well as the limitations imposed by the unauthorized practice of law statute. Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to public except as permitted by law. An internship is available to provide students with practical experience in the paralegal field.

Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level employment as medical assistants in physicians’ offices or in those capacities in which medical secretarial and/or basic clinical and laboratory training are required.
