Advanced Manufacturing

Learn the essential skills you need to compete in today’s manufacturing workforce.

Business and Professional Skills

Take courses on the biggest trends in the business space, gain the skills to start your own business, or invest in your career through boot camps and management methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.

CDL Training Program

Prepare to earn your commercial driver’s license in as little as four weeks.

Computer Courses

Take foundational and advanced courses in some of the most common programs used in the workforce today, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Online Learning

Lehigh Carbon Community College, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.

Healthcare Career Training

Gain skills in many of today’s most common healthcare careers, including nurse aid training, phlebotomy comprehension, and CPR training.

Trades

Develop basic skills in areas like welding or receive continuing education credits for certain courses.

Public Safety and Emergency Medicine Training

From CPR and first aid training including basic, babysitting, pediatric, wilderness, and even dog and cat first aid, we offer programs to prepare everyday members of our community with skills that can save lives. For those looking for career training, we offer First Responder, EMT and Paramedic training. In addition, a selection of OSHA classes are available for businesses.

Other classes include those related to firearm safety, Act 235 Lethal Weapons for security or protective personnel, use of force strategies, Decision Making Skills for Gun Owners, Judgment Training and Recertification for Retired Law Enforcement Officer ID.
Public Safety Training for traffic, firearms, etc. can be designed to meet your personal or organizational needs. Workforce Training

Our Workforce Training provides custom learning solutions that improve performance and support economic development in our region. We can design and implement programs tailored to your business needs. Courses can be offered in person and online.

Certified Production Technician

This program provides 200 hours of instruction related to advanced manufacturing. Courses cover topics such as safety, quality practices and measurements, manufacturing processes and production, and maintenance awareness.

Mechatronics

Courses offer a robust introduction to mechatronics theory and allow documentation of hands-on electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and computer skills. These courses offer the opportunity to earn PMMI Mechatronic certifications in Industrial Electricity 1and Mechanical  Components 1.

Leadership and Professional Skills

Help improve the relationship between managers, team leaders, supervisors, and team members with programs to improve productivity, enhance employee motivation and retention, and develop employee work habits and potential.

Technical Skills and Advanced Manufacturing

Certifications are built on core competencies and standards of excellence geared to meet industry’s qualifications for employment. Instruction combines the blended learning styles of online theory and hands-on instruction on industry-grade equipment with instructors who are experts in the field. Concentrations are available in:

  • Industrial Automation Technician
  • Industrial Mechanical Technician
  • Industrial Electrical Technician

Health and Safety

Courses cover topics like workplace safety, firearm safety, and classes for security and law enforcement.

Funding and WEDnet

The Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania (WEDnetPA) was created to make companies across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania more competitive locally, nationally, and internationally by updating and improving the skills of their employees to meet specific company needs.

We are a regional partner for WEDnetPA funding, which means participants are eligible for grants. Visit WEDnetPA’s website to learn more.

Personal Interest

LCCC offers noncredit personal interest courses perfect for those looking to learn something new in a fun, supportive environment. Courses cover topics like cooking, fitness, languages, and more.

Courses change often, so be sure to check back to see what is being offered each month. These are noncredit courses that cannot be applied towards a degree program.

How to Register

Once you know the course you want, you can complete the noncredit registration form and register in one of four ways:

Phone

To register, contact Noncredit Registration & Student Records at 610-799-1197 and when prompted, press 3 for Noncredit.

In Person

You can register in person at Noncredit Registration & Student Records in the Student Services Center Building on LCCC’s main campus, or at the Donley Center or the Morgan Center. Please bring your personal contact information, course selections, and payment. Please use only check or debit or credit card at off-campus sites.

Purchase Order

Organizations enrolling staff for training and development purposes will be invoiced if a purchase order number is provided. Fax your completed registration form with your purchase order number to  610-799-1018.

Materials fees are included with registration payment but can only be refunded up to four days before class start date. For most classes, the book fee is also included in the tuition cost.

If you must withdraw from a class, you can receive a refund, provided you have informed the Enrollment Services Office in writing before the beginning of the second class. If a class meets only once, written notice must be received prior to that class. Enrollment Services hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
