About the LCCC Foundation
In a comprehensive study of community colleges and 825 support foundations from 2008- 2011, LCCC Foundation was ranked in the top 100 for total assets and annual funds raised.
According to the study’s author, William R. Crowe MBA, PhD, Senior Faculty and Director of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education, “this is the most comprehensive research project conducted in the area of two-year college advancement”. Dr. Crowe is himself a retired community college president who noticed the lack of research in this area and decided to investigate. His research is ongoing and expanding.
The LCCC Foundation has current assets in excess of $11,779,000 placing it 89th out of the top 100 community college foundations in the country. Turning student aspirations into reality through education, the LCCC Foundation has been in existence since 1975 and provides more than $680,000 annually to the college, in the form of grants and scholarships, including a single annual gift of $75,000 for LCCC Foundation scholarships.
