Languages
This beginner course introduces students to vocabulary, common phrases, and very basic grammar. The course also includes weekly culture lessons which provide students with a better understanding and appreciation of the people and the communities which speak Pennsylvania Dutch.
Prerequisite: EZ Deitsch 1 or prior experience Expand your knowledge of Pennsylvania Dutch as you increase your vocabulary, construct more sentences, and improve your horizons to include more conversations and readings. Join others in another rewarding, interaction experience as you study the FUNderful language of Pennsylvania Dutch.
Prerequisite: EZ Deitsch 1 or prior experience. Expand your knowledge. Learn more advanced personal pronouns, nouns, and verbs towards sentence structure and write extensive sentences.
Learn the alphabet, grammar, vocabulary, greetings and basic conversation. Korean culture, customs, food and history will all be addressed. Handouts will be provided.
Prerequisite: Korean I. A higher-level Korean class which includes language skills, Korean drama, cooking and cultural Immersion.
Literacy
Prepare for all four GED subject exams—Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. We offer comprehensive support for individuals aiming to pursue postsecondary education, job training, employment, or enlistment in the military.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Our ESL classes serve lower-level English learners and focus on:
- Reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Grammar and civics education
- Preparation for college, job training, employment, and the U.S. citizenship exam
We partner with local businesses to create customized programs that improve workplace communication and increase productivity through stronger language and literacy skills.
Integrated Education and Training (IET)
Our IET programs combine job training with instruction in essential reading, writing, and math skills. Students receive the literacy support they need to complete training and pass required credentialing exams.
Bridge programs help learners build the academic and career readiness skills needed to enter advanced training, higher education, or specific career pathways.
