Information for BloomBoard Students at LCCC
Once you are admitted to Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), you are considered an LCCC student. That means you follow the same procedures, use the same resources, and receive the same services as all other students.
There is no separate advisor or office for BloomBoard students.
All questions about admissions, registration, advising, financial aid, and textbooks must be directed to the appropriate LCCC department.
To help you get answers quickly, here are your main points of contact:
Admissions
To get started in the Paraprofessional Pathway Program, you must first apply for admission to Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC).
During the application, please select Education A.A. (Associate in Arts in Education) as your intended major. This ensures you are placed in the correct degree program and can receive credit for BloomBoard or IU-supported coursework.
After submitting your application, be sure to:
- Send all official transcripts (if applicable) to the LCCC Registrars Office.
- Complete placement testing if required.
- Check your LCCC email for next steps and instructions from Admissions.

Academic Advising
All Paraprofessional Pathway students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor before registering for classes. Your advisor will help you review your degree plan, select the correct courses, and ensure your schedule aligns with your funding source (IU or Financial Aid).
The advisor for the Education programs is:
Ilona McGogney
Academic Advisor, Education Programs

General Advising Email: adviseme@lccc.edu
Financial Aid
Once you are enrolled, LCCC will mark your account as part of the Paraprofessional Pathway Program. This allows our Business Office to correctly identify your funding source.
For participants sponsored by an Intermediate Unit (IU), LCCC will invoice your IU directly for the cost of your approved courses.
If you have been awarded Financial Aid, you may choose to use it instead of IU funding. However, please note that if Financial Aid is applied, your IU will not be billed, the course costs will be covered through your aid package.
