What is an Associate Degree in Human Services?
The Human Services A.A.S. program is an interdisciplinary program focusing on the diverse nature of the individual human being, the dynamic process of life, and the human ability to interact and adapt to the living environment. Human Services workers assist individuals, families, and groups to improve the overall quality of life in the community. Graduates may be employed as providers of both direct and indirect client services, eg therapeutic support services, caregiver, living assistant/coach, crises interviewer, empowerer, administrative worker, community outreach, and advocate.
The Human Services Associate Degree program is accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Services Education (CSHSE).

Bachelor’s Transfer Schools
Pennsylvania offers statewide program-to-program articulation. This allows students who graduate with specific associate degrees to transfer as juniors into a bachelor’s degree program in a similar field of study at a participating four-year college.
