Computer Basics & MS Word Part 1
This beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce students to essential computer skills and build a strong foundation in Microsoft Word. Over five interactive sessions, participants will learn how computers work, navigate operating systems, manage files, browse the internet safely, use email, and store documents in the cloud. Each session includes hands-on activities and dedicated time for learning Microsoft Word, helping students develop practical skills for everyday use in personal, academic, or professional settings.
- By the end of the course, students will be able to:

- Navigate operating systems and desktop environments
- Organize and manage files and folders
- Use web browsers, search engines, and email safely

Computer Basics II Apps & AI
This is a dynamic follow-up to Computer Basics & MS Word Part 1. This course expands on foundational computer skills by exploring essential workplace software and introducing emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI). Students will deepen their understanding of file sharing, data handling, and productivity tools through hands-on practice with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. In addition, learners will gain confidence using digital media, understanding system tools, and working collaboratively in the cloud.
A special focus is placed on understanding and interacting with AI tools. Students will explore real-world applications of AI, learn to craft effective prompts, and experiment with tools like Bing Chat, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Create, format, and analyze data in Excel using formulas and charts
- Design basic presentations in PowerPoint
- Understand database concepts through Microsoft Access
- Recognize and use common media formats and system utilities
- Collaborate using cloud-based tools like OneDrive and Google Drive
