Lehigh Carbon Community College

Schnecksville, Pa., August 20, 2025 – Tamaqua Area High School graduates have the opportunity to earn up to full tuition at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) through the Morgan Foundation Success Scholarship, funded by the John E. Morgan Foundation.

Established in 2003, the Morgan Success Scholarship was extended in 2022 and will remain available through the spring semester of 2032. This long-term commitment ensures that Tamaqua students will continue to benefit from affordable pathways to higher education for nearly 30 years.

Each year, the Morgan Foundation funds up to full tuition (after other grants and scholarships are applied) for qualified graduates of Tamaqua Area High School who pursue their college education at LCCC.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Morgan Foundation for their commitment to LCCC and students from the Tamaqua community,” said LCCC President Dr. Ann D. Bieber. “Mr. Morgan was a gifted entrepreneur whose legacy lives on through this generous scholarship.”

Students must meet the eligibility requirements and complete a Morgan Success Scholarship Information Form, available from the LCCC Financial Aid Department, and submit it with their LCCC application by the May 1 priority deadline. More information is available on the college’s webpage.
