Circulation Information and Policies
Books may be checked out by students, faculty and staff with a valid LCCC ID at the Service Desk on the upper level.
Books circulate for 21 days. Unless another user places a hold on a circulating title, one renewal is allowed. Click on My Library Account to renew and track titles used and requested. Phone renewals are accepted. At the Rothrock Library materials may be returned to the outside book drop or at the Service Desk.
Members of the College community may have materials sent to the Front Desk of LCCC Allentown, or Tamaqua. Materials returned to the Front Desk will be returned to the Rothrock Library. Front Desk staff at LCCC Tamaqua will circulate materials from the in-house collection.
Books already in circulation may be requested. A hold will be placed on the title. When it is returned the requestor will be notified. It will be forwarded to the indicated center or held at the Rothrock Service Desk for 7 days.
Course Reserves are materials placed on reserve for courses by instructors. Course Reserves are shelved adjacent to the Service Desk and checked out at the Service Desk. The majority of the materials must be used in the library. Some have a limited checkout period. Some reserve materials are online. Request access to reserve materials at the center’s Front Desk.
Periodical issues, unless otherwise marked, circulate for 21 days with no renewals. These must be checked out at the Service Desk. The current issue does not circulate.
Media does circulate to students, unless marked otherwise.
Alumni of LCCC may register for a free membership to check out books.
Members of the Community are welcome to use the library’s resources and services in-house. Upon payment of an annual fee of $10.00 a community patron may checkout materials.
