The Systems Analyst II works closely with the end-user community to identify business requirements & the systems required to support them. As a member of the Enterprise Applications team, this position assists with configuring, maintaining, & enhancing the LCCC portfolio of enterprise applications. Stays current with product roadmaps and assists with upgrading applications to current releases. Develops queries & scripts that facilitate business processes at the college.
Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities, in coordination with the Assistant Director:
- Project Related
- Serves as the lead IT representative for smaller, less complex projects (typically single department/system, single term duration).
- Consults with end-users to identify business requirements & the systems required to support them.
- Documents business requirements & translates those requirements to technical specifications.
- Develops and delivers the solutions necessary to meet the business requirements.
- Support Related
- Serves as a liaison between end-users, project teams, and IT to ensure effective communication and resolution of system issues.
- Collaborates with end-users, members of the IT and Enterprise Applications teams to resolve any issues related to applications within the portfolio
- Maintains/configures LCCC’s enterprise applications, including Banner, LCCC’s portal, and other enterprise applications within the LCCC portfolio of applications
- Triages incoming work orders assigned to Enterprise Applications and resolves the issue or directs them to the appropriate team member.
- Development Related
- Develops and optimizes SQL queries, scripts, code, and forms to extract, transform, and load data for business reporting and analysis.
- Performs configuration and maintenance of LCCC’s enterprise applications, including Banner, LCCC’s portal, and other applications within the portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain databases using systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Knowledge and Performance
- Develops expertise in 2-3 applications within the portfolio, and serves as the primary contact for support, maintenance, and enhancement requests.
- Uphold service excellence by consistently adhering to established Service Level Agreements, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones, and maintaining high levels of end-user satisfaction.
- Expands knowledge of existing application infrastructure, leveraging existing applications to provide solutions that meet current business requirements thorough demonstrated training and certifications

Required Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science from an accredited institution or related field or 2-years related work experience.
Work Experience
- Working knowledge of relational databases and query languages, including SQL & Linux scripting languages.
- Four or more documented, successful, simple projects led.
- Technical lead for up to 4 mission critical applications.
- Two years of comprehensive training materials developed for two applications.
Preferred:
- Oracle Certified Associate Certification
