Are you interested in the topic of free will? Do you even have a choice?
Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Psychology Club will host an academic debate and discussion about free will on Wednesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. in the Scheller-Woodman Community Services Center at the college’s main campus in Schnecksville, Pa.
The event will feature philosopher and theologian Matthew Brake, the creator and founder of the blog
Pop Culture and Theology, a part of the Theology Corner blogging network. Brake is a dual master’s degree student in interdisciplinary studies and philosophy at George Mason University, and has a master of divinity degree from Regent University.
Brake will engage in debate with LCCC’s own Gary Andrews, assistant professor of psychology.
The goal of the event is to foster a respectful academic exchange of ideas. There will be time for questions from the audience at the conclusion of the debate.
