LCCC Tamaqua Showcases Clinical Simulators

Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) nursing department will hold an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony to showcase the clinical simulation lab at LCCC Tamaqua from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27. The campus community is invited to attend. The event will be held at the Morgan Center.
Jennifer Kalenkoski, president of the LCCC chapter of Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania, will preside over the event. The reception begins at noon, ceremony begins at 12:15 p.m.; ribbon cutting and demonstration at 12:45 p.m.; tours and demonstrations of the simulators will be held until 2 p.m.
An open house was held at the Schnecksville campus’ patient simulation lab in March. These patient simulators are funded as part of a grant from the John E. Morgan Foundation as well as through the college's federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education grant.
