Lehigh Carbon Community College class of 2019 graduate Aldonair Alphonse has received the highest honor from the Kappa Beta Delta community college honor society, receiving the $1,000 Andrew V. Stevenson Scholarship.
Alphonse has been a full-time student at LCCC majoring in business administration and will graduate in ceremonies on May 15. This is only the second time an LCCC student has received this prestigious award. Originally from Haiti, Alphonse currently lives in Allentown. He plans to transfer to a local university to earn his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
This is the highest honor a Kappa Beta Delta member can achieve. Students were selected based on their qualities of excellence, leadership and service. The Andrew V. Stevenson Scholarship is administered by the society’s board and is named in honor of Dr. Stevenson, who was instrumental in creating Kappa Beta Delta, the Honor Society for business programs that have an ACBSP accreditation.
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a global business education accrediting body and the only organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business educational degree programs from associate to doctoral.
The scholarship recipients are invited to attend the ACBSP Conference in June in Houston, where the award will be presented.
