LCCC Offers Nurse Aide Certificate Job Training for Spring 2018

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is now registering students for its Nurse Aide noncredit program, with classes being offered at LCCC’s Allentown campus, 718 West Hamilton Street, in Lehigh County. This program prepares students for eligibility to take the state certification exam and be placed on the Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide registry. Class times vary and are offered in the day and evening.
The program provides the necessary hands-on clinical experience for those seeking a career as a nurse’s aide and related subjects, including medical terminology, infection control and functions of human body systems, as well as the legal and ethical standards of healthcare, residents’ rights and required nursing skills.
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday on the following dates:
March 5 through April 26 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
April 30 through June 25 from 4 to 9:30 p.m.
Background clearance, health screening and TB testing are required before beginning the program. All paperwork and background requirements must be submitted before individuals are allowed to register. Text cost is an additional $43. Class fee is $1,196 if paid in full before the class starts. Otherwise the fee is $1,239.
