LCCC Offers Food Service and Hospitality Job Training for Spring 2016

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer staff training workshops for individuals in the food service and hospitality fields. Students will be able to expand their knowledge of food handling practices, wait staff etiquette, communications and much more with the following courses, most of which are held at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Wait Staff Training
Listening and memory skills/multi-tasking/table side etiquette, etc. Cost - $200
Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 8 – 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Safe Food Handling
Storage/thawing/leftovers/refreezing/delivery qualities/non-contamination. Cost - $62
Monday, March 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Basic Beverage – Wine and Spirits
Wine brand selection or by flavors/regions and wine service. Cost - $80
Monday and Wednesday, March 14 and 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Basic Food – Ingredients, Preparation, Menu
Culinary terms/ingredients/spices/menu navigation. Cost - $80
Monday and Wednesday, March 21 and 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Restaurant 101
Take all four classes at a discount and upon successful completion, receive certification. Cost - $380
Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 8 - March 23; times vary between 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
In addition, LCCC will offer P.A.C.T. – Professional Attitude and Communication Training, an eight-hour session funded by the City of Allentown and offered every month, with alternating daytime and evening classes in January through June.
