LCCC Helping Students Improve Their English with Spring 2020 classes

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering courses to help students improve their English speaking skills. The following English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are held at LCCC’s Donley Center on Hamilton Street in Allentown, Pa. All levels offer a daytime class held 9 a.m. to noon. or an evening course from 6 to 9 p.m. The fee for each course is $175.
course teaches beginner and low intermediate students. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays on the following dates:
Jan. 21 through March 5; March 10 through April 23; and April 28 through June 11
A second level course, ESL 2
, is for high-intermediate to advanced ESL students. The following classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays.
Jan. 20 through March 4; March 9 through April 22; and April 27 through June 10
course is recommended for advanced ESL or individuals who completed the second level course. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays on Jan. 21 through March 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.; March 10 through April 23 from 9 a.m. to noon; and April 28 through June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.
In addition, individuals can improve speaking for shopping, visiting the doctor, using the telephone or to communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Speaking Skills/ESL
will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 through April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.
