Lehigh Carbon Community College and Allentown School District kicked off their Early College partnership Aug. 20 at the LCCC Allentown site at the downtown Donley Center.
LCCC’s Early College program allows high school juniors and seniors to earn an associate degree while still in high school. Allentown is the latest school district to join students from Parkland, Whitehall, Tamaqua, Lehighton and home schooling in LCCC’s Early College Program.
"We are thrilled to partner with Allentown School District to provide this wonderful opportunity for students," said Dr. Ann D. Bieber, president of LCCC. "These talented students will be able to earn an associate degree while still in high school, which gives them a huge advantage. They will be able to enter the workforce right away, or take advantage of LCCC's transfer agreements with dozens of four-year colleges and universities."
