Fall Semester Students at LCCC Have Access to Tuition and Emergency Funds

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) students who have been impacted by COVID-19 have access to a variety of grants through the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and can use these funds to support their education for the fall semester. Students who have faced unexpected educational expenses or financial hardship related to the pandemic can apply for these grants.
The college will not be dropping students this fall because of non-payment. Students who need assistance paying their tuition can apply for financial aid, scholarships and the federal stimulus funds. Or, they can set up payment plans to spread the payments over the semester.
Also, it is important for students to remember that because they will not be dropped for nonpayment, they will need to drop classes themselves or it will continue to show that the student is enrolled in a class, resulting in a possible failing grade or incomplete at the end of the semester.
Students can get financial assistance to cover expenses such as tuition, computer and software purchases, internet access fees, books and supplies. In addition, grants can also assist with expenses such as food, housing and utility costs, transportation costs, childcare and healthcare.
To apply, students should complete the online application found on the myLCCC portal. Click on Apply for Scholarships under My Finances in the Launchpad on the left side of the screen. Or go to www.LCCC.edu/scholarships and click the Apply for Scholarships link. Funding is limited and is not guaranteed.
All tuition payments are due at time of registration. Current students can register or make payment online through http://my.LCCC.edu/.
Fall classes begin on Saturday, Aug. 21, and students can register through Aug. 27. For more information, visit https://www.lccc.edu/tuition-financial-aid/scholarships or contact LCCC Admissions at 610-799-1575 or the Financial Aid Office at 610-799-1133.
