Board of Trustees
Lehigh Carbon Community College is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of representatives from each of the college’s 13 sponsoring school districts and two at-large representatives. The trustees work with the administration to ensure that the mission of the college is effectively translated into working policies to best serve the needs of the college’s constituents.
Ann L. Thompson, Chair
Ann L. Thompson represents the East Penn School District and has served as a trustee since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and psychology from Muhlenberg College and a Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is retired after having taught music, social studies, and fourth grade.
David L. Krause, Vice Chair
David L. Krause represents the Lehighton Area School District and has served as a trustee since 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology from Michigan State University. He is currently employed by Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC as a sales manager.
Samuel P. DeFrank, Treasurer
Samuel P. DeFrank represents the Salisbury Township School District and has served as a trustee since 2014. He holds a master’s degree in business from Rider University. He is currently employed by Wacker Chemicals Corporation, where he serves as a sales account executive.
Dr. Barbara C. Kistler, Secretary
Dr. Barbara C. Kistler represents the Northwestern Lehigh School District and began her service to the board in July 2018. She holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Albright College, a master’s degree from City College of New York and a doctoral degree from Lehigh University. Dr. Kistler is a retired professor emeritus from LCCC where she served as professor of mathematics and dean of academic services.
Joseph A. Alban
Joseph A. Alban represents the Whitehall-Coplay School District and has served as a trustee since 2006. He attended several colleges and completed graduate courses in credit and financial management at Harvard and Dartmouth Universities. He is retired from Air Products and Chemicals Inc., where he served in various financial positons with the last assignment as a manager in the treasury department.
Daniel C. Bosket
Daniel C. Bosket was named a trustee-at-large and has served on the board since June 2021. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from St. Joseph’s University and serves as director of the Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown.
Annabelle B. Creveling
Annabelle B. Creveling represents the Allentown School District and has served as a trustee since 1986. She holds an RN degree in nursing from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She is retired after having served as a charge nurse.
Mathias J. Green, Jr.
Mathias J. Green, Jr. represents the Northern Lehigh School District and has served as a trustee since 2002. He is retired from Verizon, where he served as a pay telephone salesperson.
David M. Kennedy
David M. Kennedy represents the Parkland School District and has served as a trustee since 2020. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. He is retired from the graphic arts and printing industry where he served as vice president and general manager.
Matthew T. Korp
Matthew T. Korp represents the Catasauqua Area School District and has served as a trustee since 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Seton Hall University. After a long career as a radio news and sportscaster, he is currently director of communications with the Catholic Diocese of Allentown.
Audrey L. Larvey
Audrey L. Larvey represents the Palmerton Area School District and has served as a trustee since 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She is retired from the Palmerton Area School District, where she served as a high school social studies teacher.
Paul McArdle, Jr.
Paul R. McArdle Jr. represents the Panther Valley School District and has served as a trustee since 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with a minor degree in mathematics from King’s College and a Master of Education degree from DeSales University. He is employed at Palmerton Area School District where he serves as a high school social studies teacher.
William Miracle has served as a trustee at large since 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Temple University. He is a drywall contractor.
Kenneth H. Mohr, Jr.
Kenneth H. Mohr, Jr. represents the Southern Lehigh School District and has served as a trustee since 2000. He is president of Mohr Management Resources, a management consultant specializing in project and program management.
Scott Pompa represents the Jim Thorpe Area School District and began his service as trustee in January 2020.
