The Early Learning Center is Lehigh Carbon Community College's Teacher Education Preschool and Lab School serving children of students, faculty, staff and the community. Located on the main campus in Schnecksville in the Fowler Education Center, Science Hall (SH122), the center is staffed by qualified early education professionals who provide a developmentally appropriate environment for preschool aged children.
To provide high quality early education and childcare within a secure, healthy environment designed to stimulate a natural love of learning through exploration and discovery.
The center is open 12 months a year and offers a half-day preschool program from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The center follows the calendar of Lehigh Carbon Community College. Therefore, the center is closed when LCCC Schnecksville campus is closed. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis each semester/session OR as indicated on individual contracts. We welcome your early inquiries for care and will provide you with an opportunity to come and see the center prior to enrolling!
Fees & Funding
Fees/rates are posted prior to each academic year. Please call the center for current rates. Rate increases may occur yearly in order to maintain quality standards.
LCCC students and community participants may qualify for Pre-K Counts, a tuition-free program for families who meet the financial eligibility qualifications.
Also available is EITC, Pre-Kindergarten Educational Improvement Tax Credit, which provides funding to help cover tuition costs for financially eligible LCCC students and staff as well as community participants.
The center accepts subsidized childcare payments.

Licensing and Accreditation
Lehigh Carbon Community College is licensed by the PA Department of Human Services to operate the Early Learning Center. The center participates in the Keystone STARS program, Pennsylvania's quality initiative for child care, and is currently designated as a STAR 4 facility.
The Early Learning Center has recently been reaccredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
