LCCC Honor Societies Held Induction Ceremony April 27, 2017

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) honored students from two honor societies, Kappa Beta Delta (KBD) and Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), at a ceremony on April 27 at the school's main campus in Schnecksville.
 
The following individuals were inducted into KBD, the International Honor Society honoring outstanding students in LCCC's associate degree programs of Accounting, Business, Hospitality and Human Resource Management that are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
 
Allentown: ONeil Johnson, Amanda Jo Lazowicki, Sandra Mann, Diana Morales, Sarah Toomey and, Keith Torres.
Center Valley: Jeremy Schultz.
Emmaus: Lena Derr.
Jim Thorpe: Emily Kattner.
Macungie: Margaret Gehman.
Nesquehoning: Kerry Kresge.
Palmerton: Maria Martinez and Angela Shelly.
Schnecksville: Mark Lang and Madison Marshall.
Tamaqua: Devin Murphy.
 
KBD member institutions are accredited through ACBSP and are recognized throughout the business community as leaders in higher education.  KBD encourages and recognizes scholarship and accomplishment among students of business pursuing associate degrees and encourages and promotes personal and professional improvement.
 
The following individuals were inducted into LEX, the National Honor Society in Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies based upon academic excellence.
 
Allentown: Aleska J. Gonzalez and Andrea B. Griffin.
Jim Thorpe: Thomas M. Bitsko.
Mill Hall: Charmaine E. Nyman.
Palmerton: Trisha A. Wolbach.
Royersford: Andrea C. Erwin.
 
LEX students must meet the following qualifications, which include at least 12 credits in Paralegal Studies courses:
 
A.A.S. Degree Students
3.5 G.P.A. overall, 3.25 in major
Completion of at least 49 credits - included in which are at least 12 credits in Paralegal Studies courses.
 
Certificate Program Students
3.5 G.P.A. overall, 3.25 in major
Completion of at least 24 credits - included in which are at least 12 credits in Paralegal Studies courses.
 
Kutztown University/PLG Students
3.5 G.P.A. overall, 3.25 in major
Completion of at least 90 credits - included in which are at least 12 credits in Paralegal Studies courses.
