People interested in the Pre-Apprenticeship Manufacturing Program will have the opportunity to enroll in an additional offering of the class, which runs Nov. 8, 2018, through Feb. 28, 2019, at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Students who qualify will be able to enroll at no charge, thanks to grant funding for the program, which is in partnership with the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Manufacturing is a high-priority occupation that provides excellent career opportunities in the Lehigh Valley.

The program is offered in a hybrid format, with students meeting in person and completing online assignments. Class will be held once a week for 16 weeks, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville. Students will be expected to complete online assignments before the start of class each week.

Students will learn: electrical and mechanical fabrication, production assembly, preventative maintenance, basic math and measurement tools, communication skills and OSHA 10 Safety. OSHA 10 certification training is part of the program.

Students must qualify to enter the program. Contact Susan Lushinsky at 610-799-1935 or slushinsky@lccc.edu for more information or to register.
