The Center for Leadership and Workforce Development can deliver customized workshops at your location or on our campus. We will work with you to determine your specific needs, budget, and time frame to develop a program that will produce results for you and your staff.

We also offer these occasionally offer these programs as public workshops. These are ideal if you only want to have several employees trained.

Introduction to Business Analysis

The role of business analyst has been identified as a high priority occupation by the State Workforce Investment Board (WIB). Having key business analysis skills in the workplace can set your business apart.

The Center for Leadership and Workforce Development is offering Introduction to Business Analysis to familiarize you with the importance of business analysis as well as provide those working in that capacity in your organization with the skills necessary to be successful.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss fundamental aspects of the role of a business analyst
  • Distinguish between the roles of a business analyst and a project manager
  • Write clear and useful requirements for projects and identify ways to elicit responses for clearly written requirements.
  • Identify key stakeholders related to your organization and your project.
  • Identify ways to maintain project fidelity and management of project managers and others working on the project.

Apples & Oranges
This interactive board game helps develop business acumen and financial literacy for managers, supervisors and front-line employees.

In one day employees at any level can develop a real understanding of the flow of resources in your company and see the “big picture”, so they can make meaningful contributions to the business.

Creating an Accountability Mindset
Participants in this series of workshops will have the opportunity to gain new skills in developing personal accountability in dealing with ever-changing work activities. They will explore how to handle new assignments or projects, utilize creative thinking to solve problems, create a participative team environment and overcome barriers to planned or unplanned change.

This workshop provides the confidence and techniques to constructively confront emotionally or politically risky topics with integrity to produce win-win outcomes.
