WEDnetPA GUARANTEED FREE TRAINING
Pennsylvania rewards both existing in-state businesses and out-of-state companies relocating here with a progressive Guaranteed Free Training Program - offered through WEDnetPA and funded by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). These are referred to as "WEDnet Grants".

The mission of WEDnetPA is to strengthen the business environment of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by providing a training network that is responsive to employers' workforce development needs.
CUSTOMIZED JOB TRAINING
LCCC is proud to be an identified Local Educational Agency, able to provide key administrative support toward this PA Department of Community and Economic Development funded training initiative.
CJT's, as they are referred to, are available to support the education and training needs of your new hires, current full-time workers, and front-line supervisors who are PA residents. Private company applicants can access funds to assist with higher level or advanced training that will provide a trainee with the technical skills and knowledge necessary to meet a private company's specifications for an occupation or trade. The CJT grant program will pay up to 75% of eligible training costs for advanced level workforce training topics.
Some of the eligibility requirements that apply:
* Company commitment to maintain a 5-year presence in PA following approval of a grant.
* Recipients of CJT funds must be current on payment of state taxes prior to receiving a grant.
* Employer trainees must earn 150% or more of the federal minimum wage.

PA WORKFORCE IMPROVEMENT NETWORK
This program, funded through the PA Department of Education, is designed to provide high quality workplace foundational skills training and education for incumbent workers in Pennsylvania. Up to $5,000 in start-up training plans is available.
INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP TRAINING GRANTS
In 2005, Govenor Rendell launched a bold initiative to ensure PA businesses have skilled workers to meet the demands of the 21st century economy. As a result, Industry led partnerships are designing and delivering training across the Commonwealth through local community colleges and other providers.
* The Leadership and Workforce Development Center at LCCC is a learning partner with Workforce Investment Boards in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Schuylkill, Berks, Monroe and Pike counties for these industry partnership training grants.
* More than 3,800 companies are working in 86 partnerships around the state to close skill gaps and address leadership and work skills challenges.
* Training grant eligibility is based on High Priority Occupations and your organization's NAICS code:

Training can be custom designed or an existing workshop or course curriculum.
Workshops and coursework fees can be covered by Industry Partnership Training Grants after approval of your application, a training plan, and a letter of support for in-kind matching funds such as paid time to attend the training.
Our Workforce Team will be happy to help you conduct needs assessment, write your training plan, and file your grant application. Training must take place between July 1st and June 30th each year.
