SIFE is partnering with Habitat to create informative information for new homeowners in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley is a local not-for-profit. They provide affordable housing to individuals within the 40% of the median household income. They are celebrating providing housing to their 94th family! Each approved family assists in building their house and takes some educational classes on becoming a home owner. SIFE is developing the educational information and lesson plans for the new homeowner. Lowe's has made this all possible with a $2,000 grant. Thank you Lowe's!
It is an exciting opportunity to assist people in the Lehigh Valley with household and neighborhood tips. SIFE recently applied for a Lowe's grant to provide a building unit for educational reasons. Habitat joined SIFE at their Open House event on March 9th, 2012 to introduce their partnership and project. We look forward to our continuous relationship with Habitat for Humanity.

Alden Roberts - Family has a personal experience with Habitat:My cousin lived in a habitat home in Indiana. My uncle also helped to build this home and they still live there today. The layout of the home is nice and of a comfortable size. I believe that what Habitat for Humanity is doing is excellent and needed in order to better our country. |
