Technology Accommodations

The college supports PC computers with XP operating systems in thecomputer classrooms and computer labs. Disability Support Services supports screen reader software ( JAWS, Kurzweil 3000, and Text Readand Write), screen magnification software (ZoomText), on-screen keyboard (REACH), voice dictation software (Dragon Dictate Naturally Preferred and Professional), c-print software, Braille translation software (Duxbury), and graphic organizer software (Inspiration).

The college also supports closed circuit magnification equipment, FM assistive listening devices, Braille embosser, Alpha Smart word processors, cassette tape recorders, various types of computer input devices (trackballs, alternative mice), voiced calculators, and voiced dictionary/thesaurus.
