Lehigh Carbon Community College Main is located on a beautiful 153-acre campus in Schnecksville, PA.
LCCC is moving from WebCT to a new Learning Management System (LMS) called ANGEL. Some of you might have participated in our summer pilot courses and gotten a firsthand look! Notice the ANGEL link in the upper right-hand corner on the LCCC webpage.
Please be aware that starting with the Fall 2008 semester LCCC will be holding all online courses in the new ANGEL LMS. You can get a preview by visiting the new website http://lccc.angellearning.com and clicking on the Online Orientation (on the left side of the screen, under "Public Information") prior to the start of classes. This will allow you to get an inside look at the new LMS and try the new tools.
We are very excited to be working with ANGEL and are working diligently to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible. On the home page we have a System Check tool that will test your browser for compatibility with ANGEL. We also have a new “Forgot Password” quick link on the homepage right under the Sign On area. This link will allow you to send your password to your lcccmail.org email address, without having to log a ticket or call anyone!!
All students will have to log in to the new system using their Student unavailable. Prepare (with a capital “L” just like in WebCT), and the initial password of “123456”. Remember to log in on the first day of your classes and change your password to a secure combination of letters and numbers.
We have also researched usage within WebCT and used that information to set up a regular maintenance period for Friday mornings from 2:00 am to 5:00 am. During this time the ANGEL system will be unavailable.
Prepare your browser!
Remember to allow java, pop-ups and cookies for the new site, lccc.angellearning.com, before logging in.
Please Note: Use Firefox 2.0+ or Internet Explorer 7.0 + to access ANGEL. Firefox 3.0 and Internet Explorer 6.X are not compatible with ANGEL. Our experience indicates that ANGEL often works better in Firefox than it does in Internet Explorer.
Mozilla released Firefox 3.0, and we want to remind you that it is not yet compatible with ANGEL. We recommend that you continue to use Firefox 2.0 with ANGEL. If you choose to install Firefox 3.0, please do so as a custom install separate from Firefox 2.0. Do not override/overwrite any existing Firefox versions on your computer.
Firefox 2.0.0.x is available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
