Students wishing to try out for an intercollegiate sport must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits and stay enrolled in 12 credits during the semester of competition. In addition, students must earn 12 credits each semester with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA. For additional information visit NJCAA Eligibility webpage.

Head Coach: Mike Iorio (second year) Mike played three years of Varsity basketball at Archbishop Carroll High school in Radnor, PA then earned a B.S. in Marketing from Philadelphia University in 1990 where he played basketball on a basketball scholarship. In 1991 Mike played with the Washington Generals who played against the world famous Harlem Globe Trotters. Mike also played one year with the Allentown Jets in the mid 90's. For the last three years, Mike was the Men's Assistant basketball coach at Lehigh Carbon Community College. His first year as an assistant coach the Men's Basketball team won its first Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship. For the last two years Mike was an assistant coach for Darryl Dawkins.

Assistant Coach: Jim Butler (second year) Jim comes to LCCC bringing with him 29 years experience coaching youth basketball. Twenty seven of those years he has been a league officer for the Lehigh Valley Knee-Hi Basketball Association. The last twelve years as League President. He has participated in various camps as Director and guest speaker. During his playing days, he was All-East Penn Conference player at Easton High School and played at Lock Haven University. Jim is self employed as a Manufacturers Representative.
Assistant Coach: Thor Shaffer (second year) Thor comes to LCCC with over 20 years of basketball experience. Thor played college basketball at Kentucky State University then had the opportunity to play in the CBA with the Pensicola Tornadoes. He traveled overseas and finished his career traveling with the Harlem Globetrotters. Thor also coached in the ABA and the Phillipines. He currently works with players on their offensive skills and shooting.
