ANSWERS

E-MAIL

Is there an official LCCC e-mail system?
Yes, all students have been issued a College e-mail account called LCCC e-mail. You access your email through myLCCC.

How do I find my LCCC e-mail user address?
Log into your BannerWeb account and select "Personal Information" from the top links.  Select "View Email Addresses" from the menu. You should see your LCCC e-mail address. The user name is the portion before the @ sign (username@mymail.LCCC.edu).
BannerWeb will NOT display your e-mail password. If you do not see a LCCC e-mail account in BannerWeb, contact Enrollment Services.

How can I access LCCC e-mail?
Go to http://my.LCCC.edu and enter your username and password.

Am I required to use LCCC e-mail?
Yes, LCCC e-mail is to be used for all College transactions.     (back to top)

Passwords

What do I do if I forgot my password?
If you have set up your security questions, click on the Forgot Password link at my.lccc.edu, enter your user name and answer your security questions, and change your password. Otherwise, you will have to contact Enrollment Services.

Can I change my password or do I have to call the STUDENT HELP Desk?
It depends. If you have set up your security questions, click on the Forgot Password link at my.lccc.edu, enter your user name and answer your security questions, and change your password. Otherwise, you will have to contact Enrollment Services.

Why do I have to set up my security questions?
Once you have set up your security questions, you will be able to manage your e-mail password without having to call Enrollment Services.   (back to top)

BannerWeb

What is BannerWeb?
BannerWeb is an online tool that allows for management of personal and academic information through the use of hyperlinks, eliminating the need to stand in line or fill out some paper forms.  Students can use BannerWeb to perform the following functions:  register for classes, make payments and view account information, view and update financial aid information, view grades and academic transcripts, and access and update personal information.

What is my BannerWeb User ID?
You do not have a separate BannerWeb User ID. Your user ID is the same one you use to access myLCCC.

How often is BannerWeb available?
BannerWeb is available 21 hours a day, 7 days a week. Occasionally upgrades are made to the College system, which may cause a brief period of downtime. BannerWeb is also not available from midnight until 3:00 am.

Can I log into BannerWeb if I am away from campus?
Yes. BannerWeb is accessible from any computer around the world that has internet access by visiting myLCCC link.

Which internet browser should I use when visiting BannerWeb?
For optimal usage, it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer as your browser. Some BannerWeb features may not fully function using other browsers.

I accessed BannerWeb but I do not understand the information?
Depending on the information with which you are having problems, check these pages: Advising, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid or the Business Office.

When I try to register for classes I get an error message. Why is this happening?
One or more of the following scenarios may be causing this: (1) the period to register for classes is not open, (2) you have a hold on your account and, therefore, cannot register, (3) you may not have met the requirement(s) for the course you have chosen, (4) you may have exceeded your credit limit, or (5) there is a system error and you should contact someone in Enrollment Services.

How do I properly exit from my current BannerWeb session?
At any point during your BannerWeb session, you may click on the "EXIT" link located in the upper right hand corner of the screen to properly exit from your session.

I was instructed to log back into BannerWeb after having been idle for a brief period of time. Why does this happen?
For your protection, you will automatically be logged out of your BannerWeb session after a specific timeframe of inactivity.

When I attempt to view my grades, I notice that all of my grades are not showing up for the most recent semester. Why is this happening?
All of your grades may not have been submitted yet. You may want to check your schedule in BannerWeb to ensure that you are still enrolled in the course(s) not being displayed or contact the instructor(s).

It seems like we have to log out and back in for it to work or close all our windows. Why is that?
This is a known problem that is being addressed.     (back to top)

WebStudy

Is online learning right for me?
Access this link to find out more about Distance Education.

My professor is using WEBSTUDY. What can I do in WEBSTUDY?
You will be able to access course information, such as the syllabus and course material. You can also use the discussion board, send e-mails to your instructor and fellow classmates, as well as take exams and turn in assignments. Your instructors will inform you of the features they intend to use.

How do I get a WEBSTUDY Account?
Students are automatically added to WEBSTUDY at the beginning of each semester. You should log in to myLCCC with your user name and password. If you are able to log into your myLCCC but not access WEBSTUDY, you may need to have your WEBSTUDY account established.  Contact Distance Education.

What is my WEBSTUDY User Name and Password?
Your WEBSTUDY user name and password is the same as your myLCCC user name and password. When you change your LCCC network/e-mail password, the change applies to WEBSTUDY also.

I don’t see a course I need on my WEBSTUDY Welcome Screen. How do I enroll in a WEBSTUDY Course?
Students are automatically enrolled into WEBSTUDY courses at the start of the semester. If you register late, or do not see the course you need on your WEBSTUDY Welcome Screen, contact an WEBSTUDY Administrator in Distance Education.

Where can I get specific instructions for WEBSTUDY?
Once you log into WEBSTUDY, click the HELP icon on the bottom of the screen.

What is the web address for WEBSTUDY?
You should log in to WEBSTUDY through your myLCCC portal, https://my.lccc.edu     (back to top)

NETWORK

Is my network use monitored?
Network use is continuously monitored. Excessive use of bandwidth or other activities that threaten the network will result in automatic disconnection of computers that are causing the problem.

My friends download music and videos. Is this okay?
Illegal downloads of music, videos, or other copyrighted material may be subject to external legal action against offenders. Owners of copyrighted material have a reputation for prosecuting offenders and having large fines levied against students.

Violators of this policy are subject to having their network privileges revoked. Repeat violators will be referred to the LCCC Office of Student Affairs and could face permanent revocation of network privileges as well as other sanctions.     (back to top)

COMPUTER LABS

I do not have a computer. Are there open computer labs on campus?
