Advanced Manufacturing Training Program
This program provides credentials to meet the regional needs for higher skill levels for the manufacturing industry. Training is based on the Advanced Manufacturing Integrated Systems Technology ( AM/IST). Courses are offered through a hybrid delivery system utilizing a combination of on-line and hands-on delivery of instruction, offering maximum flexibility to participants in the program. Courses are offered in the areas of mechanical, electrical, or PLC technologies. All programs are offered on an open-enrollment basis.
Healthcare Information Technology Training Program
The Healthcare Technology Specialist certificate prepare the student to work in the healthcare environment in non-patient contact areas such as an administrative assistant, medical records assistant, and front desk clerk. This program has two instructors each focusing on their area of expertise. Students will receive computer training in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. They will also learn the fundamentals of data entry utilizing the Medisoft program. Students would also receive instruction in medical terminology and professional communications. Students will receive CPR and First Aid training during the course of the program. On-line modules on various topics relating to allied healthcare are utilized to prepare the student for this program, enhancing the program experience and successful completion. Program participants will have a 40 hour practicum experience to complete their training. Students who earn the HTS certificate have the option to advance their training by articulating into the HIT, Med Assistant degree programs or the Specialized degree program.
