Simple Steps to Registration

Follow the steps below to complete your registration at LCCC.

New Students

Returning / Transfer Students

You can follow the instructions in this column if:

 

  • You are applying to LCCC for the first time
  • You have only taken dual enrollment or non-credit courses at LCCC

You can follow the instructions in this column if:

  • You have attended LCCC in the past
  • You have attended another school in the past and are planning to continue your education at LCCC
  • You are currently attending another school and are seeking to take extra classes at LCCC
  • You are continuing your education and are seeking to take professional courses at LCCC

Step 1: LCCC Application

New Students

The first step for all students is to apply to LCCC using our online system:

Step 2: Financial Aid Application (FAFSA)

New Students

Returning/ Transfer Students

The next step for all students is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov if you are seeking financial aid.

  • The LCCC college code number is 006810.
  • It is important to apply for financial aid as soon as possible!
  • If you need to set up a tuition payment plan contact the Business Office at 610-799-1157 or visit their homepage.

Deadlines to have your financial aid applied directly to your tuition:

  • Summer Session: March 1st
  • Fall Session: May 1st
  • Spring Session: November 1st

Note: if you do not apply by the deadline, you can still receive financial aid. But you will need to pay your tuition in full or set up a payment plan and your financial aid will reimburse you.

Step 3: Transcript Submission

New Students

Returning / Transfer Students

All new students must send an official, unopened copy of your high school or college transcripts or a copy of your GED Certificate to:

In addition, the following programs have additional requirements for acceptance. Please see their respective pages for further requirements:

Returning students:
Do NOT need to submit transcripts.

Transfer students:
Unofficial transcripts can be used for placement and registration.  Official transcripts must be sent to receive transfer credit towards an LCCC degree

Step 4: Placement Test

New Students

Returning/ Transfer Students

All New and Returning Students:
Placement tests in math, reading, and writing are required.

Allied Health Majors:
The Biology Placement test is required for Allied Health Majors and Vet Tech majors.

Science and Engineering Majors:
Students in these majors must take the Chemistry Placement test.

Some students may be exempt from testing through their SAT or AP test scores or through previously completed college course work. Click here to determine if you are exempt from the placement tests.

Existing/Transfer students should consult with Admissions to discuss testing requirements.

Step 5: Course Planning

New Students

Returning / Transfer Students

A Course Planning form is required of all first time students with no prior college experience. (Fall Semester only)

The Course Planning form will take the place of a first time advising meeting. (Fall Semester only).  The course planner is a short form that will help us put togehter a schedule that fits your needs and interests.

Existing and transfer students can simply contact the Advising and Transfer Office to schedule a short meeting with an advisor.

Step 6: Register for Orientation

New Students

Returning/ Transfer Students

Register for New Student Orientation after you have completed the online Course Planning Form.

The Orientation Program for New Students is required for all first time students with no previous college experience.

Register Now

Orientation is not required (but is available) for students transferring from another institution.

These students need only schedule an Advising Appointment (For transfer and readmit students only)

  • Send an email to adviseme@lccc.edu to arrange for an advising appointment.
  • Your class schedule and registration will be completed during your advising meeting.

Step 7: Payment

New Students
