iPad "Start Here, Go Anywhere" Mobile Cart

The LCCC Teacher Education department offers the only iPad mobile cart classroom in the state of Pennsylvania's teacher education programs. We provide our students with innovative opportunities to create curriculum, document their classroom learning in digital portfolios and to research and evaluate over 300 educational apps on our iPads.

This cutting edge opportunity will give you the skills to be an educational technology leader in your classroom and to facilitate your future student's learning through technology.

Professor Schelly Engelman: "ECE120 had a very introductory lesson to the use of Pinterest to locate and research ideas and activities for their 8 Teacher-Made Materials assignments. Since being exposed to Pinterest, many students have started following LCCC Teacher Education, Melanie Wursta, and myself. They have also started to re-pin several ideas to their own Pinterest boards. What a great way to share information and collaborate!"
Professor Judy Brown-Dupaul: "In my 210 class, only 20 percent of students have iPads or experience with them. When students were able to open and critique math and science apps based on a hierarchy of amount of active learning, creative thinking and problem solving, students had hands-on experience in recognizing that quality apps are not simply electronic worksheets. They also quickly realized that they spent more time on apps with topics that interest them; this recognition that children show longer attention spans and learn more when they study topics that interest them is a key objective for the course."
