Lehigh Carbon Community College's Teacher Education, CIS and Digital Media, and the Arts faculty/departments announce LCCC's first innovative signature project, The Summer Institute: Technology Advancement for Educators, which will be held at the main campus in Schnecksville.

A one-day workshop for Pre-K to High School/Higher Education Educators, Local School District, Private and Public Schools, College Educators, and Pre-School teachers will be held on Fri., Aug. 8, from 8-11:45 a.m. This 3-hour workshop has two sessions with over 30 topics to choose from and highlights technology strategies and demonstrations for educators at all levels of experience. Cost is $40. Seminar topics include:

  • Learn how to keep kids safe online and validate online resources.
  • Explore the latest in Office 2007.
  • Integrate media into your assignments.
  • Google and Myspace discussions and more!!

Proceeds from this event benefit The Teacher Education Scholarship Fund, The New CIS and Digital Media and the Arts Student Scholarship Fund. Registration deadline is August 1, 2008.
