Lehigh Carbon Community College Main is located on a beautiful 153-acre campus in Schnecksville, PA.
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) Foundation is pleased to announce receipt of the "Verizon Reads" Check into Literacy grant in the amount of $5,000. The grant will be used to fund the college's English as a Second Language (ESL) program, which assists people in basic areas of the English Language such as reading, writing and speaking of the English language. The program helps students to become better community members, aware of rights and responsibilities and more aware of American History.
"A dollar a month may not seem like much, but it can go a long way to improving literacy skills in local communities and giving people the opportunity to succeed," said Daniel J. Reavy, Director of External Affairs, Verizon Pennsylvania. "We are delighted that the Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation's ESL program will benefit through the generosity of our customers."
