Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), Schnecksville, has appointed the following new faculty members.

Nada Veskovic of Allentown has been named instructor of Electronics. She had been an electronics tutor at LCCC. Before that, she worked at Worley Limited, Adelaide, Australia, initially as a senior instrumentation/process control engineer and later as a project coordinator/manager for the company's major client, Exxon Mobil. She developed training materials and was responsible for all areas of a project life cycle, including initiation, approval process, and engineering as well as construction and commissioning. She maintains a high standard of knowledge and has detailed experience in distributed control systems, multivariable controller implementation, hazardous area requirements, and SIL analysis. Veskovic received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade, Serbia.

Steven Weitz of Savannah, Ga., has been named instructor of Media Arts. As a freelance visual effects artist, he worked on the Sci-Fi Channel original movie "Mammoth" and on the TV shows "Lost" and "Alias." As a freelance animator, he worked on interactive games for Hot Wheels, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," and "Lady and the Tramp: Platinum Edition." In addition, he worked at Ocean County College, Toms River, N.J., where he taught Adobe Photoshop and game development and developed a new course in the newly formed gaming degree program. He was 3D postproduction manager on the feature-length film "Light and the Sufferer." Weitz earned a bachelor's of fine arts in 2002 and a master's of fine arts in 2004, both at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Saskia Windig of Allentown has been appointed instructor of Science. She had been an instructor of Anatomy and Physiology I and II as well as Medical Terminology at Pennsylvania School of Business, where she also served as faculty advisor of the medical club. Before that, she taught about ecology, genetics, anatomy, and the environment as an adjunct faculty member at Pennsylvania State University's Abington campus, Delaware County Community College, and Cedar Crest College. In addition, she had been a teaching assistant, Biology lab instructor, and certified American Red Cross instructor. In 2006, Windig earned an M.S. in Biological Sciences from State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport. In 2001 she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree from SUNY Geneseo.
