Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), Schnecksville, has appointed

Barry L. Spriggs, Ph.D., an associate academic dean. He had been associate professor

of Criminal Justice at County College of Morris, Randolph, N.J., where the courses he taught included Criminal Law, Criminal Evidence, Investigative Functions, Criminal Justice Systems, and Criminology. Previously, he worked at Keystone College, La Plume, where he was dean of students, a researcher on the marketing task force, and co-coordinator of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. Before that, he was assistant professor of Criminal Justice and chair of the Criminal Justice department at Keystone. Spriggs earned a bachelor's degree in 1987 and a master's degree in 1988, both at Shippensburg University. He earned a doctorate from South Dakota State University

in 1999.
