Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer the following noncreditFirst Aid and CPR recertification classes this semester. Please notethe location of each course.

Heartsaver First Aid

Course #SAF 411-C10 Weds., Nov. 7 - 6-10 PM Fee: $40

Learn the skills necessary to effectively assess and maintain lifefrom the critical minutes following an emergency until the arrival ofemergency medical services personnel. Topics covered: bleeding,choking, wounds, dressings, burns, bone injuries, and muscle injuries.Location: LCCC Carbon Center, Nesquehoning.

BLS-CPR Recertification/Healthcare Provider (Adult, Child, Infant Victims)

Course #SAF 500-12 Mon., Dec. 3 - 6-10 PM Fee: $60

This course is a knowledge/skills testing session limited to currentknowledge/skills updates. Students must hold current CPR certificationat Healthcare Provider level or equivalent. Course completion cards arevalid for two years. Location: LCCC main campus, Schnecksville.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge of andproficiency in CPR and has developed instructional material for thispurpose. Although this course is not sponsored by any AHA component,some or all materials utilized by faculty or students may be HeartAssociation materials supplied on a cost basis. Any fees charged forthis course do not represent income to the Association.
