The Teacher Education department at Lehigh Carbon Community College(LCCC) will host the annual Super Saturday teacher education seminarfrom 8 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the college's maincampus, Route 309, Schnecksville.
Training certificates will be awarded; workshops meet DPW, Act 48, and Keystone Stars requirements.
Participants can choose from a variety of workshops, including "It'sTuesday! Where is my Chicken Sandwich? Asperger's, Autism, andObsessive Compulsive Disorders in Children: Screening, Referring forAssessment, Programming, and Family Support"; "Tried and TrueTransitions for You!"; "Innovative Toddler Environments"; "How to AdoptMontessori Language Experience into the Early Childhood Center or HomeSettings"; and "Super Seasonal Centers."
Presenters include Judy Brown-DuPaul, LCCC Project Director, ProjectSET SAIL; Joe Davis, Education Instructor, LCCC; Martha Campano,Director of Child Care Center, LCCC; Donna Austin, CurriculumSpecialist, Teacher Education Research Resource Lab, LCCC; JaneYagerhofer, librarian, LCCC; Winnie Zeller, teacher, Grace MontessoriSchool; and Cathy Constantin-Reid, teacher, Grace Montessori School.
Cost is a $20 nonrefundable donation to benefit the TeacherEducation Resource Foundation. Guided tours of LCCC's new FowlerTeacher Education Center will be available.
